Who is Converge?

Brandon Lowery forms Converge Communication Technologies with over 10 years of industry experience. Why? Seeing the shift in the industry from traditional “telephone systems” (such as Avaya, Nortel, and Mitel), Brandon realized consumers want a choice – a choice of phones, a choice of how their business is being presented, a choice of a telephone system that does not “lock you into a specific product type.” Thus the partnership with Asterisk/ Samsung and the formation of Converge Communication Technologies.“

Consumer options, that’s what business is all about,” Lowery says, “Someone in the marketplace for new phone equipment should not have to be tied to one of the big boys. My partnership with Asterisk and Samsung allows the consumer to customize their telephone system to suit specific business needs. Whether it is two phones or 300 phones, Asterisk and Samsung has a product that will fit. That’s the beauty of open source architecture; customization based on the consumers needs. The best part is the product comes at a fraction of the cost of the competition with as many or more features.”

Before forming Converge, Brandon had significant experience with Samsung Business Telephone Systems. Brandon sold Mitel VOiP PBX systems, Computer network design and support, network cable infrastructure, and formed relationships with local C-Lec’s such as NuVox, Paetec, Time Warner Telecom and BellSouth (now AT&T).

“Being a single shop for a company’s voice, computer systems, network cabling infrastructure and dial tone, that’s what the marketplace wants – one phone number to call for their communication needs. That is what we provide: one number, one call, one place for businesses to go for all their technology requirements,” Lowery says.
