Wake Forest Baptist Hospital chooses Converge

Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, who is building 4 new 60,000 sq ft buildings (240,000 total sq ft) has chosen Converge to install sound masking throughout all of these new buildings. The sound masking will provide an emergency paging system and background music. Sound masking is designed to improve efficiencies among employees throughout an office environment by reducing destracting background noises.

Here are some photos of our recently completed Cat 6 cable project in Hickory, NC. Converge assisted the customer with installing all their switches and patched all of their workstations into the switches in a logical fashion.

It’s been a busy few months (or years) for Converge. We continue to grow our business on a regular basis.

A few projects we have recently completed.

Jones, Childers, McLurkin, and Donaldson attorneys at law- Converge installed over 100 cat 6 data cables and installed a new phone system consisting of approx 35 phones, all IP.

Western Piedmont Council of Governments- Converge installed over 300 Cat 6 voice and data cables. A 7ft- 4 post rack was installed to support all switches and the phone system. Pictures are on the main page of the Converge website

It’s been a busy several months in the Converge offices bringing on several new clients that include:

Lake Norman Regional Hospital

Baptist Hostpial in Winston-Salem

Several new dental offices installing phone systems, cabling, and setting up computer networks

Northeastern university running fiber between the 1st- and 11th floors in an uptown Charlotte building, which connected both floors for data, and installed a structure cabling system on both the 1st and 11th floors

New phone systems in 3 new attorney’s offices in Mooresville, Huntersville, and Charlotte.

Adding staff to our growing team. We’re continuing to grow, slowly but steadly, and are always on the lookout for the right person to join the team.

Cell Phone Integration: Makes your Cell Phone an extension of the Phone System. Calls can ring both the desktop phone and your cell phone simultaneously. If answered by the cell, user can transfer calls to others in the telephone system. Great for locating personnel who are not tied to a desk.

Converge welcomes Richard Taylor to the team

Richard Taylor has joined Converge. Richard brings over 25 years in the telecommunications, data, and wiring business. Richard formerly ran a successful telecomminications company in the Charlotte area. Richard will be overseeing new business development for Converge. Welcome aboard.

Converge recently finished a data cable job for Ascension Insurance. Approx. 180 voice and data cables were installed. Trinity Partners served as the project management team.

July and August project updates

It has been a very busy 2 months in the Converge office. A few updates to note:

Converge is moving to a new office n Cornelius, NC. They are taking 2,400 sq ft of mixed use office space with warehouse and executive offices. The entire staff is excited about the move (pictures to follow).

Some projects of note:

Converge has completed the following projects in the last 2 months:

1) Samsung Office Serv 7200-S call center edition installed in Thinkgate. The phones installed were the new SMT, Samsung IP phones. The customer wanted real time call center data, weekly, monthly, and annual reports on how many calls came into the call center, how many hung up, and the average wait time. Additionally, 3 remote users shared an office in Atlanta, GA where new IP phones were shipped.

2) Ascension Insurance- Converge installed 200 voice and data drops in their new 14,000 office space in the Southpark area of Charlotte

3) Remington- Converge installed 40 voice and data cable drops in their new 6,000 sq ft office space in Mooresville, NC

4) Neilson- Converge moved all computers, telephone system, and did all the voice and data cabling for their office move. This project was completed on Friday afternoon at approx. 3pm. The customer experienced no down time.

5) Poterak- Converge installed 20 voice and data cables

6) Palisades Episcopal School- Converge installed fiber between modular classrooms and installed wireless throughout the entire school’s campus.

Converge finishes new Phone System installation at Davidson United Methodist Church

Converge recently installed approx 50 phones at Davidson United Methodist Church in Davidson, NC. DUMC choose a Samsung 7200 Telephone system which was IP enabled and had “legacy” digital phones. “A blended solution with IP and digital phones met our needs perfectly”, said Glenn Kinken, Assistant Pastor at DUMC. “Based on some of the wiring in our building, a full IP solution would have been impossible. We were glad Samsung had the right product and the right partner with Converge”. Converge completed the installation in late May, 2010.
